QUEEN CITY COCOA BIRTH AND BREASTFEEDING EDUCATION ADVOCACY NORMALCY SUPPORT
Building the Village that Families Deserve
What We’re About
QCCB is a Charlotte-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has spent over 12 years providing culturally responsive perinatal care to families—especially Black and marginalized families who are disproportionately impacted by maternal and infant health disparities.
Through our B.E.A.N.S. model—Birth & Breastfeeding, Education, Advocacy, Normalcy, and Support—we provide lactation care, nutrition counseling, doula services, and professional training for providers and organizations.
We exist because nearly half of parents experience birth trauma, over 70% experience perinatal mood disorders, and breastfeeding challenges are almost universal—yet most families lack the village needed to navigate this safely.
What makes QCCB unique is that we don’t just serve families—we build systems. Our care is paired with workforce training, corporate education, and community partnerships that generate revenue while expanding equitable care.
Our goal is to reduce maternal and infant health inequities by ensuring comprehensive postpartum care is an accessible, sustainable, and community-led right—not a privilege.
